The work behind Subtle Being
Contemplative practice, integrative bodywork, and the through-line between them.

Dr Jody Schroeder
Doctor of Chiropractic · Level 3 Sports Therapist
Jody is a Doctor of Chiropractic and an insured Level 3 Sports Therapist, with two decades of Buddhist contemplative training under Burgs at The Art of Meditation. His path has moved between gymnastics, Parkour and breakdancing, clinical study at the Anglo-European Chiropractic College (now Health Sciences University), and a long, steady commitment to meditation.
These are the qualifications and the training that inform the depth of the bodywork. They are not, though, what is being sold: the service offered through Subtle Being is hands-on bodywork as self-care. The contemplative ground is what gives it its quality — it isn't a clinical claim.
More than a therapist, Jody works as an aspiring bodhisattva — someone who orients his practice toward the service, healing, and upliftment of others.
The Subtle Being spine
Subtle Being is self-care under the natural wellness umbrella — hands-on bodywork, plainly offered, with contemplative practice running underneath it.
The premise is the one the book carries: we do not fix what is broken, we remember what is whole. Healing is less repair than return.
It shows up through three doorways — Hands-on Care, Courses & Retreats, and the book, Already Whole — with living gatherings and bespoke work for organisations alongside.
Where we are
Subtle Being is operated by Subtle Being Holdings Ltd and Subtle Being Natural Wellness Ltd as the parent entities.
