Important information

At Subtle Being: Natural Wellness, your health, comfort, and well-being are our priority. To ensure a safe and effective treatment, please review the following guidelines before booking your session.

Who May Need to Reschedule?

For your safety, we may be unable to proceed with a massage if you have any of the following:

An acute injury (within the first 24-48 hours).

Suspected DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis).

An infectious disease.

Are in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Are experiencing hypothermia.

Have active cancer.

Currently have a fever.

If any of the above apply to you, we kindly ask that you contact us prior to booking. Our team is happy to discuss your concerns and explore suitable alternatives to support your wellness journey.

What to Expect

At Subtle Being, we strive to provide a luxurious, tranquil, and personalized experience tailored to your individual needs. Here’s what you can expect from your session:

Dress Code

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to allow ease of movement. For full-body treatments, we may ask you to expose the specific areas being worked on, but rest assured that our draping techniques ensure privacy, dignity, and comfort at all times. We also suggest removing jewelry or accessories that may interfere with your treatment.

Arrival & Preparation

Your therapist will aim to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. This allows time for a seamless setup, any necessary paperwork, and a brief consultation to discuss your goals, preferences, and health considerations.

Your Consultation

Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to communicate any specific concerns, areas of focus, or health conditions that may impact your treatment. Your privacy is paramount, and all shared information is handled with complete confidentiality in adherence to the Data Protection Act 2018.

During Your Session

Your therapist will create a calm and peaceful environment to enhance relaxation. You may undress to your comfort level, and professional draping will be used to maintain modesty while ensuring effective treatment. Only the area being worked on will be exposed at any given time.

Communication & Comfort

We encourage open communication throughout your session. Your therapist will regularly check in to ensure that the pressure, techniques, and focus areas align with your needs. If at any point you would like adjustments to the treatment, simply let us know.

Aftercare & Post-Massage Guidance

Following your treatment, take a few moments to breathe, relax, and integrate the benefits of your session. It’s common to experience mild soreness for 48 - 72 hours, particularly after deep tissue work. We recommend:

Staying hydrated – Drink plenty of water to aid recovery.

Gentle movement – Walking can support circulation and mobility.

Cold therapy – Use an ice pack if you experience tenderness.

Self-care recommendations – Your therapist may provide additional tips to enhance and extend the benefits of your treatment.

If you have any further questions, we are always here to assist you. We look forward to elevating your wellness experience with Subtle Being.
